Penelope Swan earned the title of Little Miss NPRA 2018. I had the privilege of designing her pageant gown, media outfit, fashion forward and interview ensembles. I've newly adopted the idea of a rodeo pageant "capsule" closet. The capsule closet includes several coordinating garments. I chose to evoke the old west in combination with influences from Indigenous Peoples by using wool from our local Oregon mill. I fashioned several coordinating pieces for her to mix and match.

My rodeo ensembles echo past era's of the old American west. Think of Annie Oakley, Dale Evans, Sacagawea & Vintage Hollywood Westerns!
